Publication Frequency

Sustainability in Mechanical and Materials Design publishes four issues per year (i.e., four issues per volume, first from January to March, second from April to June, third from July to September, and fourth from October to December each calendar year). Each issue is officially published on the last day of each quarter: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Authors can submit manuscripts year-round, and submissions are processed on a rolling basis.

An accepted article is published online as soon as its final copy/layout is ready. A PDF of the accepted article is uploaded on the official website after the successful completion of the editorial review as well as the peer-review processes, as per the Sustainability in Mechanical and Materials Design policy.

All the published articles are gathered together into the journal's issue on a quarterly basis. This schedule ensures timely dissemination of cutting-edge interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence with mechanical and materials design.
